April is here and Spring is in full affect. The rotation has moved around a little bit with the weather change of course. Wearing more white and colors as the Texas heat starts to creep up on us. I still don’t have a pair of all white AF 1’s but I feel like this would be the month I would cop some… I guess we’ll still have to see.
Air
Of course I went to go see the New Air Jordan Movie as soon as it came out. Great movie, really funny, and historic for all Sneakerheads and Athletes. A great watch for me and I suggest watching this movie to any adult. More on my experiences (link here)
I wore my OG’s to view the film; they are the Air Jordan 4 Fire Red Retro (2012).I was gifted these by my friend Preston and I was so shocked he hooked me up like that. It was for my 24th birthday and he really came through. I don’t wear these often, the paint is cracking on the midsole and it honestly doesn’t look the best. But I do like to keep crispy clean and for special occasions.
Easter
I got a couple shoes in rotation this year for Easter. I wore something different to Church than I did to my Mom’s house.
At church, I pulled out my A Ma Maniere Air Jordan 3 retro collaboration. I love this shoe and I rarely pull them out. I love the white and cream on the uppers and the materials used. Really makes it feel like a luxury sneaker.
I was going to keep my J’s on but it was a rainy Sunday. In my opinion this shoe could go with almost any spring/summer time fit. I switched to my custom Air Max 95‘s because I knew we would be outside a little bit for my dog Pax. The rain cleared up but I always play with him in the yard while I’m there.
Skate shoes of the month
I have been skateboarding a lot more. I feel like I’m just getting more in fit with it, and I’ve always loved it growing up. I have rotated between two different sneakers this month for skateboarding.
The Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Fog’, I skated once when I skated with my homie Zach. These are really broken in and feel good to skate honestly. I love the look of them right now too. I skated these because the Nike SB Jordan 4’s were hurting my feet in the previous sessions.
The next session I wore my 4’s and they were actually feeling a little bit nicer. The board feel just isn’t there as much compared to all my skate shoes.
Astro’s Game
This was a great game to go too and I’m so happy I was able to go. It was unexpected and my homie Tristan hit me to go to the game the night before. The promotion was free World Series rings and we got them at the door. Astros win and hit a couple homeruns too. I wore my Off-White Rubber Dunks to keep it cool and comfortable. As you can see it was a long walk to our seats!
Krit’s birthday
Top Golf is always a fun time! I actually was doing really bad this night though. Jordan killed it as usual. It was Christian’s first time and we went for his birthday. I wore my custom 95’s again. These have been finding their way into my rotation a lot more than I expected. I love the way the laces and outsole color matched my pants. Love these shoes. Christian is one of my childhood friends and we’re both into some of the same sneakers today. His J collection is getting pretty serious too.
