Earlier this week, Nike pays homage to Gigi and the Bryant family with a special tribute release.
The Kobe 4 Protro “Mambacita” is here. Coming in sizes M 3.5 to M 18.
The shoe is releasing today in tribute to Gigi’s 17th birthday.
The sneaker comes in a black and white colorway, matching the Mambacita colors from her basketball team.
The red swoosh on the sole is inspired by a red bow Gigi wore in her hair for school pictures. A plad pattern around the heel came from the inspiration of Gigi’s love for flannels and how she use to wear them around her waist. A golden number 2 on the heel tab, as it was her number in the game. Of course Gigi’s name is on top of the heel tab and on the lace tips as well. A beautiful shoe paying homage to the young legend Gigi Bryant.
Last year it was the Kobe 6. This year it’s the Kobe 4. This is the start of a beautiful tradition. Proceeds will go to the Mambacita foundation.
