For The Toe – August & September

The end of this summer finished with a BANG. I spent a lot of time traveling and taking time to myself. That’s pretty much the same reason I haven’t been writing or posting. I apologize and I’m back! Lets get right into it.

Vegas!

I cant believe me and my friends pulled off our first Las Vegas Fantasy Football draft! We had been wanting to do this for years but finally pulled the trigger and had the best draft to date. We had a great group of people and a really nice suite at The Palms. Got to hang out with some friends I don’t see too often in the City that never sleeps!

I brought a couple pairs of footwear on this trip. My Travis Scott AM1, I love this shoe and I would have wore it more on the trip if it matched some more of my outfits.

I wore my “Black Phantom” AJ1’s for most of the trip. I broke these in right away, I walked more than 6 miles in these on the first wear… Which made my pinky toes start to hurt throughout the night. But other than that, there’s no discomfort. I bought these as soon as Utopia dropped and I didn’t intend to bring two Travis Scott pieces on Vacation…but hey they’re FIRE.

Key West

This was a super cool trip. I never thought I would go to a place like this and I really enjoyed this vacation. Key West a great place to have a great time. There was live music everywhere and the bars stayed open until 5AM. Since I knew it was a beach vacation I only really took a couple pairs of footwear.

New Balance JFG 993s “Performance Art” Artic Blue was my sneaker of choice for this Florida trip. I wore this shoe most the time and really fell in love with the comfort of this model. In general I think this trip made me start to think about my footwear in a different way. I’m starting to lean more towards comfort over hype and style.

Astros

I’m a huge fan of baseball and I love the Houston Astros. I went to 5 games this season and this was the last game I went to in the regular season. Astros had a great stretch into the Post Season but came up short in a Game 7 battle in the ALCS.

I’ve worn a lot of different sneakers to Minute Maid Park and I know it’s a lot of walking and standing at times. This day I went with a pair I usually don’t wear.

The New Balance 327, Joshua Vides Collaboration that dropped at ComplexCon two years ago. I love this pair because it’s very wearable with the colors and model. However the midsole could make it hard for any athletic activity. Very good shoe.

These two months were packed with a lot of fun and I really am blessed to have so many different experiences in all these cool sneakers.

I do apologize for the lack of content I’ve been posting. I’ve been more focused on the moment than my footwear.

October here we go!
