JANUARY – For The Toe

For The Toe series starting off with a post for the whole month of January. I was working a lot this month and pretty locked in. I wasn’t really outside that often and I didn’t get to wear that much out of my collection.

I still did do a couple things last month though. I didn’t have the intention of talking about my KOTD for the month so I am missing a good amount of feet pics from events.

Here’s a look of what I was up to this past month and what I was wearing.

I went to Pop Stroke for the first time with a couple friends. Me and my girlfriend were matching Silhouettes on the night! We usually don’t match sneakers in anyway and honestly, I had my pair picked first. So she copied me you can say. Love these Court Purple 2.0’s, they were my first SNKRS grab and my FIRST pair of Jordans. Pop Stroke is fun too would definitely recommend if you like mini golf.

Early this month I had made the decision to break down and throw away a lot of my boxes. Being a sneakerhead, there is an opinion on keeping your boxes in general. I had a lot of boxes and I had kept them in a different spot than where I had my shoes. I kept some of the boxes from my girlfriend’s collection too. Just holding on to the packaging and piece of art that comes with the shoe. But we have to remember, we don’t wear the boxes.

I threw away mainly boxes to sneakers I plan on beating up in the next couple years. Skate shoes, trainers, and general releases. I kept some of my favorite boxes from collaborations and more memorable pairs.

I love these dunks man. I got them as a gift from one of my homies for my birthday. Shout out Preston Forreal! I wore these to a dinner at Jinya Ramen Bar. Super good Ramen, super good time with some family. I wear these dunks everywhere.

Rest In Peace to my brother Cameron Collin Johnson. It would have been his 26th birthday but his life was cut short due to gun violence. The impact Cameron had left on everyone in his 23 years of life truly transformed people. I’m honored to call him a friend and I’ll never fully recover from this loss.

Everyone had some nice kicks on in honor of my brother. I wasn’t feeling to good but I had to pull on to the gravesite.
