June! Summer is finally here. I feel amazing right now at the top of the month. I’ve been more motivated at work to stack up some money to accomplish some goals. I had a couple off days that I decided to make the best of. It’s going to be a hot summer for sure!
As the month goes on I realized I missed a lot of on foot pictures on events I did this month. I had such a fun time and a lot of time off. Time to lock back in though. These are some of kotd in June.
Go Skate Day
Go skate day is staple to the skateboarding community and a holiday I love to celebrate. I try to get in a session every once in a while but I haven’t been able to set a side time lately. On my birthday (May 20th) I set up a fresh deck to skate; and never got around to skating it until today. It’s a Real Board, my favorite brand growing up. I was wearing my Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Fog’. These shoes are perfectly broken in right now and I pick them over my Ishods’ and 4’s. Today I had fun for a moment at my OG local park. Very nostalgic.
New Pick-up
I copped a pair I have been wanting ever since pre release. Some of my friends were saying that they’re surprised I already didn’t have this pair in my collection. The Hyper Royals just have that clean color blocking that’s great for the summer. I got this pair from a my friend Christian, for a good deal for of my birthday. He wore them lightly before passing them on to me because they were too big for him.
I relaced them up and wore them to church one Sunday for the first wear outside.
Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse
The Spider-man Animation series is by far my favorite Spider-man. Miles Morales’ character is always seen with Jordan 1’s. In the first movie there was an official release in collaboration with the movie. There was another official Jordan 1 that recently dropped with this movie! I don’t own either of the pairs, but I did rock a pair of Jordan 1’s each time I went to the theatre when I saw it this month. The first time my Court purple 2.0’s and this time my Hyper Royals.
Haircut
Wore these to get a haircut and run some errands on a sunny morning. I spent some time on the patio; as much as I could before I got too hot and went inside.
Looking at this pair it has such nice details. I’ve never wanted to switch laces on a shoe as often as this pair and it came with three different pairs. Great New Balance to keep in the summer rotation.
Alief Skatepark
I got in a second skate session this month. This time I checked out the new Alief skatepark in Houston, Texas. This park was fun to skate for the most part, it was just really crowded. I still need to get more comfortable on a board before I try old tricks I use to be able to do.
I skated my dunks again. I was going to wear my 4’s but they just felt too heavy for what I wanted to wear. I relaced my flicking foot with the grey lace that the dunks came with. Really enjoy these shoes to skate in.
Me and Christian’s first time at this skatepark but definitely not our last.
I did a lot this month but forgot to take more on foot pictures! I got more coming for the month of July. I think I’m going to break out something a little bit different for you all. Thanks for reading!
