Kanye West has been taking to Instagram to publicly make it known he is currently trying to cut ties with Yeezy’s main partner Adidas.
Kanye has expressed in the past how he doesn’t get enough credit from the brand Adidas itself. He’s been upset about unapproved colorways, rereleases of original colorways, and ‘stolen’ designs on adidas originals. He’s taken to Instagram to light up the Adidas board and has not slowed down.
He’s mainly come for the Adidas SVP/GM Daniel Cherry; implying he’s stole his designs and that he’s selling ‘fake colorways’
He’s also called individuals on the board of adidas, post by post.
He’s on the rant of not getting credit and not getting paid in which the things he believed he should be paid for. He mentions that he’s just getting started and that he’s about to go after GAP next.
Kanye is notorious for all type of rants on social media but this one looks like it could potentially effect sneaker culture forever.
What could this mean? Adidas stock has already fallen as Kanye is a huge public figure. If Kanye cuts ties sooner than later, then it’s most likely that Original Kanye models will skyrocket in price.
