May is one of my favorite sneaker months. The weather starts changing and a lot more outside plans are made. I take more time out of my schedule to enjoy life more. Before it gets super hot out for summer, and I get really busy at work. These are some of my sneakers in rotation this month.
Newest pick up // Air Jordan 4 Thunder
I bought this shoe on the spot pretty much. I got a great deal though…RETAIL. My coworker let me know that she got Exclusive Access on the morning of May 4th. She entered for my size and the sale went through. She had just received her pair from the first shock drop of this pair; as someone else had hit for her about a week ago. She let me have that pair because we wear the same size and BAM. Later that night I had them in hand and relaced them for the toe.
I haven’t been buying shoes much this year so this pair is really exciting for me. I loved this shoe back in the day and I’m glad I can add it to my adult collection. My fourth pair of jordan 4’s. The first time I wore the shoe was for my birthday dinner at this Italian Restaurant called BB’s.
Cinco De Mayo // Moving
This Friday I spent with my girlfriend’s family; helping her little sister move into her own apartment. She had been staying with me and Jordan for some time now but we just got our extra room back.
Here’s me at the end of the day with my feet kicked back in that room. These shoes are great! I got them on SNKRS when they came out. I don’t wear them too often but when I do I appreciate them more and more each time. The colors just go absolutely crazy on this collaboration and the model is so comfortable. These are the Stussy x Nike Air Huarache in the Desert Oak Colorway.
Rest In Peace Cameron Johnson
A childhood friend of mine, a brother of mine, lost his life way too soon to gun violence. May 17, 2023 marked 3 years since we all lost him in the tragedy. It’s something I still think about frequently and something I believe impacted me greatly. I visited his grave and celebrated him, and life. Shared a couple moments with him and Jordan. I wiped the dirt off his granite stone and had a couple beers in his honor. I wrote a little message on my pair of skate shoes I wore that day in honor of him as well. When I step on a skateboard in these shoes I want to skate for him. I miss you Cam. These are my Nike SB Dunk Low Fog‘s, I am currently skating these shoes.
My Birthday
ZAYDAY 2023 was a movie! Me and some friends and family went downtown and had some food and drinks before enjoying an awesome baseball game at Minute Maid Park. Astros played the A’s and we won! I got a new Yordan Alvarez jersey and a whole bunch more blessing for my birthday. After the Astros’ game we went to friends house to watch the UFC fight. I was so thankful for this fun day! Glad to see another year. I wore one of my favorite pairs, Travis Scott x Air Max 1 in the Baroque Brown colorway.
Home Run Dugout
One of my favorite things I did this month was Homerun Dug out. It was my first time going for a work outing. It is soft toss system that launches the ball from the ground that’s hit against a simulated screen to calculate a score. The food was pretty good, and they had a pretty big drink selection as well. I ended up getting a draft cocktail, something I had never heard of before I saw it. It was hot, especially since we went in the middle of the afternoon. Still a great time. Can’t wait to go back with some friends and other people who enjoy baseball. I wore my Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runners. Comfortable shoe for the Wednesday afternoon.
